Dreamlogue: Conversations with the Unconscious

Dreamlogue: Conversations with the Unconscious is a series of artworks and poems inspired by Daniel Maluka’s dreams, waking visions, and ancestral echoes—a space where logic dissolves and surreal, unfiltered narratives take over. Often dismissed as fleeting or strange, these inner experiences serve as profound reflections of the psyche, unbound by the constraints of waking reality.

Through this series, Maluka seeks to capture that raw, chaotic energy—exploring themes of identity, impermanence, collective memory, and disintegration.

In Dreamlogue, the visual and written pieces inspired by dreams range from exact images transmitted from the dream world to expanded interpretations of singular motifs. The works drawn from waking visions arrived as clearly defined images, with Maluka acting more as a transmitter than a creator—pulling symbols from the collective unconscious into waking reality.

For the pieces inspired by ancestral echoes, Maluka channels collective memory in a claircognizant manner, pairing each visual work with a poem voiced by ancient-sounding speakers. These echoes are not literal memories, but intuitive impressions—felt truths passed down through the body and spirit.

Each visual piece is paired with a poem, offering context, clarity, and an alternative lens through which to view the work. Throughout the collection, Maluka employs layered forms, abstract shapes, and a limited color palette. Sharp contrasts mirror the way dreams blur clarity with mystery, heightening the dreamlike atmosphere and drawing viewers into an ambiguous realm where meaning is fluid.

Dreamlogue invites viewers to engage with their own subconscious landscapes, encouraging personal reflection and discovery—whether through self-recognition or a fleeting moment of wonder.
